NCYH In-House Program

Overview

NCYH will be offering In-House programs at the following levels for 2008-09:

  • Midget (Birth years 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993)
  • Bantam (Birth years 1994, 1995)
  • Pee Wee (Birth years 1996, 1997)
  • Squirt (Birth years 1998, 1999)

NCYH normally operates enrollment for In-House teams on a first come, first serve basis. As demand warrants, we may begin to wait list interested players and admit them as spots begin to open. Typically recreational teams are comprised of about 15 skaters and 2 goalies.

Miscellaneous Points of Interest

All NCYH In-House participants will receive jerseys and socks.

All In-House coaches are volunteer coaches or parents. Our coaches are background checked and USA Hockey certified. If you are interested in helping out, email Aaron Grosul at hockeydirector@ncyh.org.

All In-House players will be welcome to participate in NCYH camps and clinics offered before, during and after the "regular season".

Schedule

The NCYH In-House league teams practice and play over the course of the "regular hockey season" from mid-September through roughly mid-March. During the course of a season teams typically have two on-ice sessions per week. These ice times consist of a practice on either Monday, Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday, and a game on Sunday. We expect that all In-House teams will be offered the opportunity to participate in one home hosted tournament above and beyond the normal league schedule. Most recreational team practices are one hour long and typically have two teams sharing the sheet of ice. NCYH recreational teams will be competing in the Denver North Hockey League (DNHL) during the regular season.
